MANILA, Philippines — A non-uniformed member of the Philippine National Police (PNP) was arrested in a drug sting in Calabanga, Camarines Sur on Tuesday.

The Philippine National Police-Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (IMEG) said Norberto Elopre, 36, of the Magarao police station was apprehended in Barangay San Miguel at around 5:20 p.m.

Elopre reportedly yielded P47,600 worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu.

IMEG director Brig. Gen. Oliver Enmodias said Elopre sold shabu worth P15,000 to an undercover agent.

“We are intensifying our monitoring of policemen and non-uniformed personnel involved in all forms of illegal activities. We will apprehend them as soon as we have enough evidence,” Enmodias said in a statement.
