MANILA, Philippines — A most wanted drug pusher was killed in a sting in Camarines Norte on Monday.
Christian Serrado, 40, was killed in an alleged shootout with police officers in Barangay Larap in Jose Panganiban town on Monday.
Quoting a police report, Bicol police director Brig. Gen. Jonnel Estomo said Serrado drew his gun when he sensed he had sold shabu worth P340,000 to an undercover agent.
The fatality reportedly yielded illegal drugs valued at P1.02 million.
Estomo said Serrado was a member of a drug ring operating in Camarines Norte and nearby areas in Bicol.
In Albay, 225 grams of shabu valued at P1.287 million were seized in a drug bust in Barangay Kinale in Polangui, Albay at past midnight yesterday.
Celmerl John Lapiz, 27; Ronald Mendoza, 50; Rosemarie Daiana Adap, 37, and Charmaine Erlandez, 33, said to be members of a syndicate operating in Bicol, Calabarzon and Metro Manila, were arrested.
