Free parking for delivery riders in Valenzuela

MANILA, Philippines — Delivery riders on duty need not pay parking fees in Valenzuela beginning Dec. 17, the city government announced yesterday.

Under Ordinance No. 961, delivery riders are exempted from paying parking fees at commercial establishments in Valenzuela.

City hall clarified that riders could only avail themselves of the free parking ticket for an hour and during operating hours of the establishment.

The ordinance does not cover overnight parking fees.

Delivery riders also need to show their valid ID and proof of booking order, according to the ordinance.
