2 hurt in Taguig fire
MANILA, Philippines — Two persons were injured in a fire that hit a house in Taguig City yesterday.
The fire broke out at around 10:19 a.m., the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said in a report. The blaze reached first alarm and destroyed P24,000 worth of property before it was doused at around 10:44 a.m.
The house is located along Ranger street in Barangay South Signal.
The house’s owner, 74-year-old Hilaria Navarra, was brought to a hospital for treatment of first-degree burns on her arms.
Fire Officer 3 Eric Garcia suffered cuts on his left arm.
Arson probers said the fire started at the altar on the second floor of the two-story house.
