P4.3 million drugs seized in Quezon City, Makati

MANILA, Philippines — Illegal drugs with an estimated street value of P4.3 million were seized in separate stings in Quezon City and Makati on Thursday.

Joseph Ang, 22, yielded 25 kilos of marijuana valued at P3 million following a sting in Barangay Old Capitol Site at around 8:30 a.m., according to Maj. Wennie Ann Cale, chief of the Quezon City Police District’s drug enforcement unit.

Calle said Ang, who is being held on charges of drug trafficking, is included in the drug list of the National Capital Region Police Office.

Meanwhile, around 203 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu worth P1.38 million were seized in Barangay Rizal, Makati at around 3:56 p.m.

Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg said those arrested during the drug bust were Nestor Dancalan Jr., 30, and Shallomar Enriquez, 28.
