ZAMBOANGA CITY – Security forces destroyed fully grown marijuana plants worth around P2 million and arrested two alleged financiers of Abu Sayyaf bandits in Luuk, Sulu on Wednesday.
Personnel of the Naval Task Force, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Marines and police raided a 1.5-hectare plantation in Sitio Tangan-Tangan in Barangay Lingah, Rear Adm. Toribio Adaci Jr., Naval Forces Western Mindanao (NFWM) commander, said.
The suspects, Atimulla Jaharin and Bakil Kadil, allegedly yielded an M16 rifle with 20 rounds of ammunition.
