Monsoon to dump rain over northern Luzon

MANILA, Philippines — Cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected within 24 hours in some provinces in northern Luzon due to the northeast monsoon.

Babuyan Islands, Batanes, Cagayan and Isabela will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.

The same weather condition will prevail in Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Ifugao, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Kalinga, La Union, Mountain Province, Nueva Vizcaya, Pangasinan and Quirino due to the easterlies.
