Poll bet’s aide shot dead

MALOLOS, Philippines — An aide of a vice mayoral candidate in Pandi, Bulacan was shot dead by motorcycle-riding men on Saturday afternoon.

Samuel Tabor Jr. was standing in front of his house in Barangay Bagong Barrio when he was killed at around 4:30 p.m., according to Col. Manuel Lukban Jr., acting Bulacan police director.

Tabor died at the scene from a gunshot to the head.

Police said a love triangle is being eyed as the motive for the killing, noting it had nothing to do with Tabor’s job as a driver of a politician.
