2 dead in Northern Luzon mishaps

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Two men died in separate vehicular accidents that occurred in Northern Luzon in the past two days.

Jasper Dennis Paranada, 27, was declared dead on arrival at the Pira Clinic and Hospital in Cabugao, Ilocos Sur.

Paranada was traveling in Barangay Bannuar, San Juan town when his motorcycle hit a concrete post.

Meanwhile in Benguet, Mark Sumakey died at the scene afer his truck fell into a ravine in Kabayan town.

Sumakey was driving down the road in Barangay Bashoy when he lost control of the wheel.

Authorities blamed the accident on the piles of sand and gravel that littered the road.
