DOST exec wounded in gun attack

KORONADAL CITY, Philippines — An assistant director of the Department of Science and Technology in Soccsksargen was wounded in a gun attack in this city yesterday.

Police said Normina Pahm, 55, was waiting for their office vehicle to pick her up in front of her house along Mabini Street in Barangay Zone 4 when an unidentified man in a pickup opened fire.

Probers have yet to determine the perpetrators and motive for the shooting.

In Agusan del Sur, Samuel Afdal, former president of Philsaga Mining Corp., was inspecting a mine site in Barangay Sta. Cruz in Rosario town when he was shot.

Afdal underwent surgery and was declared out of danger.
