Businessman, partner killed in gun attack
CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — A businessman and his partner were shot dead by an unidentified assailant at their property in Alitagtag, Batangas on Saturday.
Allan Hosena, 47, and Veronica Boragay, 61, died while they were being rushed to the Martin Marasigan District Hospital in nearby Cuenca town, according to Capt. Ernie delos Santos, chief of the Alitagtag police.
Probers are eyeing business rivalry as the motive for the killing.
“We have information that Hosena had a misunderstanding with a former partner in the construction business,” Delos Santos said.
Hosena was standing in front of his house when the assailant shot him.
Although wounded, Hosena managed to run to the house, but the assailant pursued and shot him again as well as Boragay.
The assailant fled on a waiting motorcycle.
