Drug suspect nabbed

MALOLOS, Philippines — A drug suspect was arrested in a sting in Pulilan, Bulacan on Saturday night.

Kart Vergara is reportedly the assistant leader of the Serrano Crime Group tagged in drug trafficking and other criminal activities in the town, according to Col. Manuel Lukban Jr., acting Bulacan police director.

Vergara was arrested after he and and his companion Michael Valenzuela reportedly sold drugs to undercover agents in Barangay Poblacion. Valenzuela managed to escape.

Police said they recovered 21 plastic sachets containing shabu with an estimated street value of P63,512.
