163 repatriated Pinoys from Dubai arrive in Davao

DAVAO CITY, Philippines — At least 163 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their dependents were among the 226 passengers of Philippine Airlines Flight PR659 that arrived at the Davao International Airport on Friday as part of the government’s repatriation program for  those displaced by the COVID-19 pandemic.

City tourism operations chief and Davao Airport COVID-19 team head Generose Tecson said 151 of the passengers are fully vaccinated while five have received their first dose.

Tecson said the passengers underwent swab testing within 24 to 72 hours before their arrival.

At least 900 repatriated OFWs from Dubai have arrived in this city.

Ninety-nine Filipinos from Fiji, 138 from Dhaka and 163 from Kuala Lumpur had earlier arrived at the Davao International Airport.
