Chinese trader robbed in Cavite

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — A Chinese businessman was snatched by unidentified men while walking on his way home from a barber shop in Barangay San Francisco in Trece Martires, Cavite on Tuesday.

Huang Nam, a hardware owner, said he was dropped off at an unknown place by the suspects after beating him up and taking his cellular phone with a Gcash account loaded with 150,000 and P7,000 in cash.

The victim was reportedly seen along an open canal by policemen patrolling the area and brought to a police station.

Huang told police he was seized by armed men who dragged him to a black van.
