MANILA, Philippines — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) yesterday reminded motorists that spaces under footbridges could not be used as parking areas.
The MMDA said its Task Force Special Operations has tied up with local government units in Metro Manila to crack down on illegally parked vehicles.
Owners of vehicles parking along sidewalks or under footbridges will be issued traffic citation tickets, the MMDA said.
“Illegally parked cars obstruct the flow of traffic along thoroughfares,” the MMDA said.
