Motorcycle thief slain in Nueva Ecija

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines — An unidentified motorcycle thief was killed when he allegedly shot it out with law enforcers in Barangay Cabawangan in Nampicuan, Nueva Ecija on Wednesday night.

Col. Pedro Soliba, Central Luzon police deputy director for operations, said the Nampicuan police conducted an operation after receiving reports that the suspect took the motorbike of a certain Christopher Fernandez.

Police said a pistol of unknown caliber, bullet shells for a 9mm pistol and the stolen motorcycle were recovered at the scene.
