Cop held for cursing Valenzuela health workers
MANILA, Philippines — A rookie policeman was arrested for reportedly cursing and threatening health workers when he was not given priority at the triage area in Valenzuela on Sunday.
Pat. Angelo Abalos, assigned at the Malabon police station, was brought to the Valenzuela City Emergency Hospital when his blood pressure shot up.
Abalos got furious because he was not attended to even though he introduced himself as a police officer.
He allegedly threatened to shoot the health workers at the triage area for ignoring him.
“****** ina naman, nagpakilala na akong pulis! Kung hawak ko lang ang baril ko, binaril ko na kayo!” police quoted Abalos as saying.
The hospital staff attended to Abalos before a nurse and security guard reported him to the nearest police precinct.
Abalos will face grave threat charges, police said.
