Man dies in mishap after shooting neighbors

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — A man who shot and wounded his three neighbors died in a vehicular accident as he was fleeing from the crime scene in Barangay Quezon Hill in this city on Sunday night.

Jeepney driver Rubillo Distor, 47, of Barangay MRR Queen of Peace, reportedly shot Bernard Carbonell, 45; Peter Salvador, 47, and Niño Boy Carbonell, 35, following a quarrel at past 8 p.m.

The victims were taken to a hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds.

Police said Bernard was hit in the chest and needed to undergo surgery.

Peter and Niño Boy suffered gunshot wounds in the legs.

Distor fled in his vehicle, which figured in an accident along Naguillan Road.

The suspect died at the scene of the accident.
