MANILA, Philippines — The Ospital ng Sampaloc in Manila has reached full capacity for COVID-19 patients.

In an advisory on Facebook on Saturday, the hospital said it could no longer accommodate COVID-19 patients because “the current surge has taken its toll on our institution.”

The hospital management urged the public to get vaccinated and comply with health protocols.

“Get vaccinated and take part in stopping this pandemic,” the advisory read.

In Caloocan, the Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital in Tala is also close to reaching full capacity, medical chief Dr. Alfonso Famaran said.

Famaran said 371 of 380 beds for COVID cases are occupied.
