MANILA, Philippines — Philippine National Police chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar yesterday vowed that rogue personnel will not be reinstated into the PNP.

He has ordered the PNP Directorate for Personnel and Records Management to create a database of all personnel who were dismissed from the police service.

Eleazar also directed that all motions for reconsideration filed by dismissed police personnel be resolved immediately.

In a statement, he called on complainants to reach out to the National Police Commission to speed up the resolution of appealed administrative cases, to remove from service those proven to be corrupt and abusive.

Eleazar stressed the need for the PNP to be vigilant against police scalawags who may try to seek reinstatement.

He instructed the PNP Legal Service to review administrative rules and regulations to further strengthen measures that would prevent dismissed police officers from rejoining the service.
