MANILA, Philippines — Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, who was hospitalized due to COVID-19, remains stable, an official said yesterday.

On his ninth day in Sta. Ana Hospital, where he has been confined since Aug. 15, Moreno “continues to be stable with his health condition,” hospital director Dr. Grace Padilla said in Medical Bulletin No. 9.

Padille earlier said Moreno was comfortable, with a good appetite and stable vital signs.

“The mayor is full of gratitude for all the prayers and well-wishers. He is on his road to recovery,” Padilla said.

Moreno was taken to the hospital on Aug. 15 after testing positive for COVID-19. He had cough, cold and body pains at the time of his admission.
