Truck ban remains suspended – MMDA

Ralph Edwin Villanueva - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — The truck ban along major thoroughfares in the National Capital Region will remain suspended until the end of the month, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said yesterday.

The region will be under modified enhanced community quarantine until Aug. 31.

In an advisory, the MMDA said the truck ban would remain suspended in Metro Manila to ensure the unhampered movement of essential goods.

The truck ban will be imposed along EDSA.

The MMDA suspended the truck ban when Metro Manila was placed under the strictest enhanced community quarantine. The number coding traffic scheme is still suspended.
