P136 million shabu seized in Cavite

MANILA, Philippines — Twenty kilos of shabu with an estimated street value of P136 million were seized in a drug bust in Bacoor, Cavite yesterday.

Michelle Bardelosa, 39, and a 16-year-old boy were arrested by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Barangay Molino at around 10 a.m. after selling a kilo of shabu to undercover agents, PDEA spokesman Derrick Carreon said.

Carreon said 19 more kilos of shabu were recovered from the suspects.

Bardelosa is being held on charges of drug trafficking. The minor was turned over to the social welfare office for rehabilitation.

Also, in Bacoor, police said Jaymar Vinluan, a ”high-value” drug suspect, yielded 520 grams of shabu valued at P3.5 million in an anti-narcotics operation in Barangay Habay 2.

In Nueva Ecija, Honorio Cabodoc Jr. and Oliver Balagtas were killed in drug stings in Barangays Sampalok and San Miguel na Munti in Talavera town on Friday.

Shabu worth P85,000 were reportedly recovered from the fatalities.
