CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Twenty-one people were rescued after a motorboat capsized in the waters off Tanza, Cavite on Saturday.

The M/B Lady Tricia was sailing near Corregidor Island when it figured in the accident at past 3 p.m.

The boat, which was operated by its owner Delfin Mabesa, left Barangay Wawa 2 in Rosario town at around 10 a.m., according to the Philippine Coast Guard.

Upon reaching the coastal waters off Barangay Amaya, the passengers disembarked to participate in a swimming lesson.

The passengers were on their way back to the shore at around 3:30 p.m. when strong waves battered their boat until it capsized.

Mabesa immediately radioed the PCG for assistance.

No one was hurt in the incident.
