MANILA, Philippines — The University of the Philippines released yesterday the results of the UP admissions process for incoming freshman students.
UP vice president for public affairs Elena Pernia said 11,000 qualified for admission out of 100,000 applicants.
Applicants can view the results by accessing their accounts at https://upcaresults.up.edu.ph.
UP said admitted students must confirm their slots on or before July 30. The next school year will begin in September.
Those who did not qualify for admission may reach out to the office of the university registrar of the UP campus where they want to file an appeal.
Unlike in previous years, applicants did not undergo the UP College Admission Test or UPCAT, which was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Applications were assessed through the composite of final grades of the students in Grades 8, 9, 10 and first semester of Grade 11.
