Farmer shot, beheaded in Samar

GANDARA, Samar MANILA, Philippines — The decapitated body of a 34-year-old farmer was recovered in Barangay San Francisco in this town on Wednesday.

A police report identified the victim as Christopher Wahingon.

The body of the victim, which bore gunshot wounds, was recovered by his brother Nestor in a hilly area, around a kilometer away from their farm.

Nestor said Christopher went missing on Tuesday.

Christopher’s severed head has yet to be found.

Probers said a certain John Diaz and an alias Obet were tagged as among the suspects.
