MANILA, Philippines — The rollout of COVID-19 vaccines in Makati and Pateros has experienced setbacks due to shortages.
In an advisory, the Makati City government apologized to potential vaccinees belonging to the A4 category or the economic frontliners that their vaccination yesterday was cancelled.
The city government also announced that it has stopped the inoculation of A4 vaccinees since it has not received any supply from the national government for the A4 group.
Meanwhile, the Pateros municipal government declared it closed its COVID-19 vaccination center at the main campus of the Pateros Catholic School (PCS) yesterday.
The vaccination site was lacking doctors and health workers, it clarified.
In April, the vaccination hub, which administered COVID-19 vaccine doses to persons with medical issues belonging to the A3 category, was also closed after some of its doctors and vaccination staff caught COVID-19.
The Makati City government advised A4 vaccinees scheduled yesterday to await a text message confirming their new schedule, while the Pateros municipal government would announce when the PCS vaccination site would reopen.
