MANILA, Philippines — A nurse and two others were apprehended on Wednesday by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) for allegedly selling 300 doses of Sinovac vaccine for P1 million.

Alexis de Guzman, a nurse at the Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center in Manila, was arrested in an entrapment operation in Quezon City, according to NBI task force against illegal drugs chief Ross Jonathan Galicia.

De Guzman was nabbed along with Calvin Yeung Roca, a Filipino-Chinese, and Kour Singh.

Galicia said the suspects were part of a group allegedly selling COVID-19 vaccines to the public.

Chinese workers were among the clients of the suspects, the NBI said.

Galicia said the entrapment operation was a result of weeks of surveillance.

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno lauded the NBI for the suspects’ arrest, according to his information officer Julius Leonen.
