MANILA, Philippines — At least 44 families were left homeless when a fire struck a residential area in Parañaque on Wednesday.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the blaze broke out along Ipil Ville Narra street in Barangay BF at around 1:45 p.m.
Arson probers said the fire reached the fourth alarm at around 2:30 p.m. and declared under control before 4 p.m.
No one was reported injured during the incident.
The fire razed at least 22 houses. Damage to property was placed at P200,000.
