3 killed in Nueva Ecija drug stings
CABANATUAN CITY, Philippines — Three persons were killed in drug stings in Nueva Ecija yesterday.
Col. Jaime Santos, provincial police director, said June Arimbuyutan, Ryan de Jesus and Emerson Manuzon engaged anti-narcotics agents in shootouts in Barangay San Ricardo in Talavera, Balbalungao in Lupao and Picaleon in General Natividad, respectively.
Police said 12.15 grams of shabu, two .38 caliber revolvers, a 9mm pistol, a tricycle, a motorcycle and marked money were recovered from the fatalities.
In Catanduanes, 50 grams of shabu valued at P340,000 were allegedly seized from tricycle driver Eddie Bien, 40, in a sting in Barangay San Isidro in Virac.
Gen. Jonnel Estomo, Bicol police director, said Bien is a ”high-value” drug suspect in Bicol.
