Boracay of the North reopens to tourists
BOLINAO, Pangasinan, Philippines — This town, known as the mini Boracay of the North because of its white sand beach in Patar, reopened to tourists from Metro Manila and nearby areas on Thursday.
Mayor Alfonso Celeste issued an executive order on the guidelines as well as the protocols to be imposed by the Department of Tourism and local government unit.
Visitors are required to present either a negative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction or antigen test not more than 72 hours prior to their travel.
The local government stressed the need to adopt certain guidelines and restrictions to give the tourism industry a chance to recover without jeopardizing health and safety protocols.
