MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude-4.2 earthquake rocked Surigao del Sur yesterday.
The quake occurred at 5:20 a.m., with its epicenter located 67 kilometers northeast of Bayabas town, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
It was felt at Intensity 3 in Bayabas.
Meanwhile, a magnitude-3.3 earthquake occurred 21 km southwest of Claveria, Masbate at 10:38 a.m. yesterday.
The quake was registered at Instrumental Intensity 1 in Mulanay, Quezon.
Instrumental intensity refers to the ground shaking as detected by seismic instruments.
Phivolcs said the temblors were not expected to cause damage or trigger aftershocks.
