MANILA, Philippines — Two senior citizens were hacked to death by a son of one of the victims in Muntinlupa over the weekend.
Quirino Rafanan, 64, and Eduardo Matocinos, 62, were found dead at their house in Barangay Putatan, police said.
The bodies were discovered by Matocinos’ sister Eden, according to probers.
Muntinlupa police chief Col. Melecio Buslig Jr. said the suspect, Ivan Neyo Matocinos, 27, was arrested in Marikina on charges of malicious mischief and physical injuries.
The suspect was turned over to the Muntinlupa police.
The younger Matocinos was identified by a witness, Emma Ombao, as the one who allegedly killed the victims.
A complaint for two counts of murder will be filed against the suspect, police said.
