Marc Jayson Cayabyab - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — A 99-year-old patient at the Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center became the oldest COVID-19 survivor in Manila.

Rosa Chua was discharged from the hospital after a week-long confinement.

Chua was brought to the hospital on April 29 after she manifested symptoms of the virus.

She thanked her doctor, Stephany Tan, for her speedy recovery.

Tan said the patient’s “sunny disposition” helped her recover from the disease.

Chua was able to celebrate Mother’s Day with her family on May 9.
