ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — Two personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and a public school teacher were arrested in a sting in this city on Saturday.
Ryan Manuel, 40, and John Capuy, 39, both active members of the PCG, and Marities Manuel, 40, were collared after they reportedly sold shabu to an undercover agent along Atis Drive in Barangay Baliwasan, according to Brig. Gen. Ronaldo Genero Ylagan, chief of the Zamboanga region police.
The suspects were placed under surveillance for several days before the police conducted the sting, Ylagan said.
Probers said they recovered from the suspects four large plastic sachets containing 35.97 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P244,600 and marked money.
