Navotas congressman catches COVID-19

MANILA, Philippines — Navotas Rep. John Rey Tiangco has tested positive for COVID-19.

Tiangco posted on his social media account that he tested positive for the virus based on antigen test on Tuesday.

He said he has not manifested any symptoms of the virus.

Tiangco said he would still undergo RT-PCR test to confirm the result.

The congressman went on quarantine in compliance with health protocols set by the government’s pandemic task force.

“I’m feeling well. Let’s follow health protocols for our own safety,” Tiangco said.
