COTABATO CITY, Philippines — Ten Abu Sayyaf bandits including five women surrendered to the mlitary in Sulu on Sunday.
The surrender of Idji Abduradja, Mussah Abduradja, Harris Jul, Raham Saddih and Makki Salidin as well as their women companions Armilyn Abduraja, Arsalyn Abduradja, Marissa Rajan and Maybat Salidan was facilitated by the personnel of the 1st Marine Battalion and local officials.
The surrenderees turned over several firearms and bomb paraphernalia during a ceremony held at the Marine Battalion command post in Panamao town.
Brig. Gen. Eden Ugale, chief of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region police, said more Abu Sayyaf bandits are expected to return to the fold of the law in the next few weeks.
