MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has confiscated P1.6 million worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu at a warehouse in Pasay City.
In a statement yesterday, the BOC said it turned over 240 grams of shabu, hidden in tea bags, to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency for “case profiling and buildup” against the consignee, a resident of Caloocan City, of the parcel sent by a certain Yong Lee Chei from Malaysia.
The BOC said the package reportedly came from the same batch as the P1.63-billion shipment confiscated on Oct. 31, 2020.— Rudy Santos
