PRC defers nursing licensure exams

Mayen Jaymalin - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has postponed nursing licensure examinations due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases.

In an advisory, the PRC said the examinations set on May 30 and 31 will be held on Nov. 21 and 22 upon the request of the Philippine Nursing Association.

The PNA made the request to ensure the “safety of the future nurses and all those who will be involved in the conduct” of the exams.

The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases previously allowed the conduct of licensure examinations amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
