MVP Group opens Antipolo quarantine facility

MANILA, Philippines — The MVP group has opened an emergency quarantine facility in Antipolo, Rizal for its employees who have mild COVID-19 cases or those who are asymptomatic.

The facility, which has 240 air-conditioned tents and beds, is within a 10-hectare First Pacific Leadership Academy campus.

It will provide optimal care to MVP group employees and help decongest hospitals in Metro Manila amid a surge in COVID-19 cases.

“The essential services – connectivity, power, water, road networks, among others – we have continuously provided since the onset of the pandemic, have been the source of stability for many Filipinos and it is our employees – the backbone of all our companies – that have allowed us to be contributors in moving for economic recovery,” businessman Manuel V. Pangilinan said.

Doctors and nurses to be housed in the facility will work on eight-hour shifts. Meals, medical supplies as well as phone and data connectivity will be provided.

Pangilinan had earlier committed to provide vaccines to his group’s employees, qualified dependents and household members.
