MANILA, Philippines — Around 18 kilos of shabu with an estimated street value of P122.4 million were confiscated by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) from six suspects, including a minor, during a sting in Las Piñas City on Wednesday.
Reyano Oraid, 30; Khen Moreno, 20; Efren Mangona, 33; Abdulmunir Addin, 39; Shay Mokamad, 18, and a 14-year-old boy were arrested in Barangay Manuyo Dos at around 10:30 a.m.
PDEA spokesman Derrick Carreon said the suspects were apprehended after they allegedly sold shabu to a police officer.
Apart from shabu, PDEA agents also confiscated two cell phones, identification cards, a Mitsubishi Xpander and a KIA subcompact car believed used by the suspects in the drug trade.
Carreon said the PDEA is conducting a follow-up investigation to determine the suspects’ source of illegal drugs.
Five of the suspects are being held by police on charges of drug trafficking. The minor will be turned over to social welfare and development officers.
