Raymund Catindig - The Philippine Star

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Philippines — A junk shop owner turned over on Tuesday his collection of 40 vintage bombs, which he buried in his backyard in Cauayan, Isabela.

Authorities unearthed the bombs, which Harvey Paggao said he bought from scavengers from as far as Ilocos several years ago, according to Isabela police chief Col.James Cipriano.

Paggao said he decided to turn over the vintage bombs, believed to be used during World War 2, because of the danger it posed.

Authorities did not file charges against Paggao.
