MANILA, Philippines — Three South Korean fugitives were arrested in southern Metro Manila since Monday.
Kim Dong Woo, 49, was charged in court after he fled to the Philippines two years ago when he failed to pay back 65 million won he borrowed from his victim. He was arrested in Las Piñas on Monday, the Bureau of Immigration said.
Yu Daewoong, 39, and Kang Wesung, who are on the Interpol’s red notice list, were arrested in Parañaque yesterday. They are reported to be the second and fourth most wanted online fraudsters in South Korea, police said.
Yu was caught in a subdivision in Barangay Don Bosco while Kang was apprehended at a condominium in Barangay Marcelo Green.
The two face charges of economic crimes in their home country.
