MANILA, Philippines — The city government of Manila received on Monday P1.5 billion from the national government as “ayuda” or assistance to residents affected by the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), Mayor Isko Moreno said yesterday.
Under the ECQ aid plan, eligible Filipinos will get P1,000 worth of cash or goods. Only four individuals per family may receive the aid.
Data provided by the city’s public information office showed that 28,504 individuals are the initial beneficiaries of the Ayuda Manila 2021 payout.
