3 die, 11 hurt in Bukidnon vehicular mishap

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Philippines — Three minors died while 11 others were injured in a collision involving a pickup and a tricycle in Quezon, Bukidnon on Saturday.

The victims were declared dead on arrival at the hospital, according to Maj. Jiselle Longakit, spokesperson for the Bukidnon police.

Reports said the tricycle, driven by Rex Villano, was carrying 11 passengers including the minors when it figured in the accident along the Sayre Highway in Barangay San Jose.

The injured passengers were taken to the Bukidnon’ Provincial Hospital for treatment.

Villano and the driver of the pickup were brought to the police station for questioning.
