BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Brig. Gen. Ronald Oliver Lee, former chief of the Philippine National Police-Drug Enforcement Group (PNP-DEG) will assume the post as chief of the Cordillera region police today.
Lee replaced Brig. Gen. RWin Pagkalinawan, who will retire next month.
Pagkalinawan is on a non-duty status starting yesterday.
PNP chief Gen. Debold Sinas on Sunday reassigned at least 11 police officers, including Pagkalinawan and Lee.
Pagkalinawan was moved to the Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit of the Directorate for Personnel and Records Management.
From the Office of the PNP Chief, Brig. Gen. Remus Medina will take over the PNP-DEG vacated by Lee.
