P13.6 million shabu, P6.2 million ecstasy seized
MANILA, Philippines — Personnel of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Western Visayas and local police seized P13.6 million worth of shabu in a sting in Barangay Lag-asan in Bago City, Negros Occidental on Thursday.
Col. Joem Malong, regional police spokesman, said Radney Pidol, 38, and Raphy Pradilla, 28, were arrested. The companion of the suspects, Rogie Senatin, managed to escape.
In Pampanga, P6.2 million worth of ecstasy tablets were seized in a controlled delivery operation in Mabalacat, also on Thursday.
Initial investigation showed that a package was sent by a certain Keven Owen from Germany and consigned to Zhyelle Marquez.
A certain Agatha Palen was arrested after claiming the package, which contained 3,100 pieces of ecstasy. – Ramon Efren Lazaro, Ric Sapnu
