4 La Union centenarians get P200,000 each

TUGUEGARAO CITY,  Cagayan, Philippines — Four centenarians in San Fernando, La Union have each received P200,000 in cash gifts.

Maria Layugan, Maria Ramos, Petra Pulido and  Teodoro Flora of Barangays Baraoas, Bato, Pagdaraoan and Madayegdeg, respectively, each received P100,000 and certificates signed by President Duterte from Department of Social Welfare and Development representative Mary Grace Almodovar on Tuesday.

The city government had earlier awarded the four centenarians P100,000 each.

A cash gift of P100,000 for those who reach the age of 100 is mandated under the Centenarian Act.
