Manila seniors join vaccination drill

Marc Jayson Cayabyab - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — The Manila city government yesterday simulated the vaccination of senior citizens against COVID-19.

Around 100 elderly joined the vaccination drill at the Legarda Elementary School in Sampaloc, according to city health officer Arnold Pangan.

There are over 157,000 senior citizens in Manila, Pangan added.

The activity was held to train vaccinators in guiding senior citizens during the vaccination process, he said.

Meanwhile, small and medium businesses earned P1.8 million during the city government’s Valentines event.

The “MayniLOVE” event generated jobs for the 37 stalls in Mehan Garden and 11 stalls in two participating malls, Bureau of Permits director Levi Facundo said.
