72 more cops catch COVID-19

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP)‘s COVID cases rose to 503 on Saturday after 72 more officers contracted the virus.

Records showed a majority of the new cases were from the regional police offices, with the Bangsamoro recording 19; Central Visayas, eight; Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon) and Northern Mindanao, six each, and Metro Manila and Central Luzon with five each.

The rest of the cases were recorded in Zamboanga peninsula with three; Bicol, two, and one each in Cagayan Valley, Caraga, Eastern Visayas, Davao, Ilocos and Western Visayas.

The national operational support units recorded 11 and another case was also recorded in the administrative support units.
